Tyto Athene, a Portfolio Company of Arlington Capital, Announces the Acquisition of IITC

WASHINGTON, D.C., February 28, 2019 – Tyto Athene, LLC (“Tyto” or the “Company”), a portfolio company of Arlington Capital Partners (“Arlington Capital”), today announced the acquisition of Island Information Technology Consultants, Inc. (“IITC”), a leading provider of mission-critical unified communications solutions to the Intelligence Community. Founded in 2004 by Dennis and Patti Powell, IITC designs and implements data visualization technology, including touch screen and video wall equipment in command and control environments. The rest of the management team, including Matt Vorsteg, Director of Operations, and Matthew Graham, Director of Business Development, will continue to lead the IITC business as part of Tyto Athene.

Michael Lustbader, a Managing Partner at Arlington, said, “We have been very impressed with the organization that Dennis, Patti, Matt, and Matthew have built and its ability to bring the latest in data visualization technology to highly demanding and secure Intelligence Community facilities. We are excited about the combination of IITC with Tyto Athene and believe both businesses share the same intense focus on the customer and mission. This focus will allow the combined business to continue driving value for all of the Company’s stakeholders.”

“The combination of Tyto Athene and IITC enables us to create significantly greater value in our client’s decision-making capabilities and processes” said Jeff Murray, CEO of Tyto Athene. “ We are excited to bring IITC’s audiovisual and multi-media capabilities to the rest of Tyto Athene’s customer base, as well as bring Tyto Athene’s people, values, mission awareness, and capabilities, such as network infrastructure and physical security design and implementation, to IITC’s Intelligence Community customers.”

Gordon Auduong, a Vice President of Arlington Capital, said, “The addition of IITC allows Tyto Athene to continue enhancing its strategic focus on recurring managed services contracts, providing the business with increased revenue visibility, while at the same time expanding its customer base. The acquisition of IITC is the next step in the development of Tyto Athene after successfully establishing itself as an independent company in late 2018.”
