Arlington Capital Partners Announces Investment in Chandler/May, Incorporated

WASHINGTON, DC, December 15, 2005 – Arlington Capital Partners , a Washington DC-based private equity firm, in partnership with the Company’s existing management, today announced an investment in privately held Chandler/May, Incorporated (“CMI”). Headquartered in Huntsville, Alabama, CMI designs, develops and integrates high value-add electronic component and subsystems for a variety of complex military programs. The Company has developed core specialized domain knowledge in the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) market by building advanced systems for blue chip defense customers including, among other products, command and control stations for several of the leading UAV production platforms.

“The broadening capability and proven military effectiveness of UAVs in recent conflicts ensures that UAV procurements will continue to experience tremendous growth,” said Peter Manos, a Partner at Arlington Capital Partners. “CMI’s unique core domain knowledge and experience in designing and building UAV systems and sub-components makes it well positioned to continue growing with the UAV market. As a result of the Company’s past successes and entrenched customer relationships, CMI’s products are setting the standard for many current and future UAV platforms.”

“As we lead the Company through its next stage of growth, we are thrilled to have Arlington Capital’s support” said co-founder Jesse May. “Arlington’s commitment to investing in aerospace/defense and its strategic focus on growth and market leadership make it an ideal partner. We are excited by the opportunities before us and look forward to leveraging Arlington’s relationships and knowledge base. Our end-markets are experiencing tremendous growth and our partnership with Arlington will ensure that we have the appropriate resources and the capital to better serve our customers and to grow on both an organic basis and through add-on acquisitions.”

Matt Altman, a Principal at Arlington Capital, noted “We were attracted to CMI because of its position as a differentiated sole-source supplier in the growing UAV marketplace, its long-term agreements with its blue chip customers, and its outstanding management team. CMI’s products address mission critical needs and it will continue to benefit from the increasing demand for third-party suppliers who are able to provide integrated solutions for highly engineered custom systems.”
